Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Novium ("the App") is a billing and payment-tracking tool built for independent medical interpreters. This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it's stored, and how it's used.
The short version
Your business data — clients, assignments, invoices, and payment records — is stored entirely in your own web browser and, if you connect Google, in a backup file in your own Google Drive. We do not operate a server that stores, sees, or has access to your data. Nobody else's data is mixed with yours, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties.
Information you enter directly
When you use the App, you may enter information such as:
- Client/agency names, contact details, and billing rates
- Assignment details (dates, times, patient names, locations)
- Invoice records and payment history
- Your own business name and mailing address, for use on invoices
This information is saved using your browser's local storage. It stays on your device unless you choose to connect a Google account, in which case an encrypted backup copy is written to a file the App creates in your own Google Drive, under a folder named "Novium Backups."
Information accessed through Google
If you choose to connect your Google account, the App requests the following permissions, used only for the specific purposes below:
- Google Calendar (read-only): to read your calendar events so the App can import them as billable assignments. The App never creates, edits, or deletes anything on your calendar.
- Gmail (compose): to let you send invoices as emails from your own Gmail account, with your review before anything is sent. The App cannot read your existing emails, and can only send messages you've explicitly composed and initiated within the App.
- Google Drive (per-file access): to create and update a single backup file in your Drive, so your data isn't lost if your browser storage is cleared. The App cannot see, access, or modify any other file in your Drive — only files it creates itself.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Novium's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we don't do
- We don't operate a backend server that collects, stores, or processes your data.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or other third parties.
- We don't use your data to train any AI model.
- We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Your control over your data
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from within the App. You can download a full copy of your data as a backup file at any time, and you can delete your data by clearing your browser's local storage or deleting the backup file from your Google Drive. Because we don't hold a copy of your data ourselves, we're not able to delete it on your behalf — but you're always in full control of it directly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
